Originally developed as a tool for forestry workers to mark trees that were to be cut down, paintball has developed into one of the fastest growing extreme sports in the world.
There's many different styles of paintball, but the basic concept is that players shoot each other with paintball guns known as 'markers' (from the forestry heritage) that shoot spherical gelatin capsules filled with a non-toxic and water-soluble mixture of polyethylene glycol and dye. Most paintballs are 0.68 inches in diameter (68 calibre).
To stay safe, players are required to wear face and eye protection in the form of a paintball mask. Although technically no other protective equipment is required, the vast majority of paintball players also wear some kind of protective clothing like coveralls and gloves, which we provide to every player.
Paintball is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 years old. We regularly have groups come and play that consist of both men and women as well as children and adults.
